im pushing to get the block and new rotating assembly to the machine shop by thursday. I had to do a little work to the inside of the block. our blocks look like hell from the factory, i guess where they cut out for the crank they just leave the rough edges, so i was concerned that these rough edges could actually work there way loose. talked to a few people and thy say its pretty common to "debur" the edges and smooth them out,so that pretty much what i did tonight.here aresome pics of what it looked like before.
i removed all the rough edges.now it goes to the machine shop for boring/honing.then they hot tank it to get it all nice and clean. balance everything including the flywheel and UDP,after turning the flywheel.they said it will take a week for them to get all the work done.
soon as i get it back i will slap it all back together.
my new gt500 oil pump showed up today also.only need a clutch and wastegate to have everything.
