Those cars are a blast to drive. I would love to have one of those to mess around in.

No flame intended but how many tracks have you been to? I see EVOs and WRXs at tracks all the time. Fast yes but "hardly ANYTHING better" - LOL, come on. Didn't you read the recent Road & Track that tested abut 10 high end cars, including the newest EVO in multiple categories. For the price, they are wonders, but on a track its all about the driver, not the car. And as for a Rabbit...you are kidding right?

IMO a whippled GT will slaughter an evo in a straight line, but the GT will need a GREAT driver and LOTS of suspension done to match it in the curves

A whipple gt should smoke that car! I think they're only supposed to run a 13.4, 13.5 stock. We run what a 13.9 stock? And the evo is FI. Curves, of course it is better than a mustang, but no comparison straight on.

I like the new STI, and Evo MR alot. I would have never bought the last version, since they were really riced out. The new ones are toned down alot.

I think I would have to go for the STI though. Because it is decently fast and handles well and will also haul stuff around easier in the hatchback.

If I was an auto x'r I would get the MR though. But I think the STI is more of a all arounder.
