Default Whistler Fuzion Laser-Radar Detector "Gauge"

Anyone hear of or have experience with this? I have a three hole dash gauge pod with a dual set of Aeroforce Interceptor gauges, and an empty hole that this would be awesome to fill the third hole! But want to make sure it is a decent detector, important to be function as well as form in this case.

Anybody? Opinions of whistler detectors in general, say compared to Escort Passport 8500.

Never seen that... IMHO doesn't look too promising. Normally Radar detectors need a clear line of sight. You gonna cut a hole in the pod?

No, the waterprrof radar antenna is mounted behind grill, and laser antenna inside the cabin somewhere, and are wired to the gauge

for the price you can get a much better system then this. I dont think it dose Spectra or VG2 which is stealth, so the cops dont know you have a radar detector. Also i dont think its 360deg capable . For me my next radar detector will be the Cobra XRS R7 or the XRS R9G. The the R7 is around the same price and IMO it is far superior

just my .02

That's pretty slick!

I just put in the 9500ix with the invisicord and SCP Mount but I do like this!

Let us know how it works for you if you go that route!

If you are looking for a nice deal for the Escort 9500ix or 8500 check us out this weekend. We are bundling in a free invisicord and mount.

Thanks!

that's pretty cool, and a cop behind you won't see it and purposefully try and find a reason to pull you over.

From what I am reading the laser would be 360. Anyway, I have been wanting to step up from a $100 cobra to something like the Passport 8500 ($250ish), but really like the setup of the Fuzion. But if the function of it is closer to the cobra than the escort, it wouldn't be worth it to me. Looks like some whistlers are rated with better range/protection, but can't find any actually reviews of the fuzion. Most of what I read rates the cobra's in general at pretty low performance compared to most, but I am not going to spend about $500 for a V1 either...trying to find a balance.

Do laser detectors actually work? I mean, once they go off hasn't the cop already caught you?
