I have a really good break in method for you. If you had line locks, flip the switch and hit the gas, wait 10 seconds.... Okay your tires are broken in

+1
New tires are slippery. Its the factory 'mold release' agent.
Its even worse for 2 wheeled vehicles like motorcycles.
They warn you about it whenever you get a new tire or two.
Wear off the 'mold release' and then check for increased traction.

I also have BFG KDW2s and they are a mean tire for
under $175 each installed and balanced.
Minimal spin and if they do spin, they heats up and grabs holds.

This is what I was sorta thinking. Allow them to scuff up alil and then give it another try.

But as far as everybody else has mentioned I would have to agree with always going to tirerack.com and checking out the ratings. They have road noise, thread wear, etc. on there. I've never gone wrong with tirerack.com myself.

The car is looking sexy as f***! I LOVE the darker more intimidating look. IMO getting rid of the Fooses was the best thing you could have done. The sportlines are going to look awesome.

Just curious, but any reason behind getting a smaller diameter tire? If I calculated right, they're 1" smaller than stock. I can tell by the pic that the rear seems shorter.

Low profile tires are never going to have super great traction anyway partly due to less flexing of the sidewall (they're stiffer). There's a reason drag cars have small rims and a very large sidewall.

the FR500s are one of my least favorite wheels. Donno why, i just really dislike them. With that being said, those wheels look AMAZING on your car. Probably cuz of the aggressive drop but you pulled them off very well brother. Looks HAWT!

What finish are those wheels? Nice.

I went with the Nitto 555. 295/45/18. Love them. Your right though....you live you learn.

I agree with Derek on the increased road noise but it depends on the size of the rim. He has 18's and I have 20's and the 20's don't make any more noise than stock...... JMO
