Default Frozen Parking Brake

Hi all,
What's the best way to unfreeze the parking brake? I'm out of town and just realized it's going to be 10 degrees out this week and I left my parking brake up. I'm trying to figure out the best way to unfreeze it when I get home. Its supposed to be cold all weekend.
Thanks!

I think some people just have it towed to the dealer and have it fixed because there is a tsb on it. http://mustangforums.com/forum/2005-...-freezing.html

I had it happen, drove it around the block and got the brakes hot, parked it with the brake off and the radiant heat unfroze them.

Hey, I have a set of hawks on the way so why not. I will let ford fix it when it gets back to the states.

Just because it's cold doesn't mean it will freeze. I had had car 3 years and it only just started freezing this winter.

If you have had previous trouble with it freezing than it probably will freeze in 10 degree weather in which case idk. You could do what Shard Phoenix did though I certainly wouldn't do that. I just wait till it thawed and took it to the dealer. Inconvienent? yes, but I felt it was the safest for the car

Ohh and another thing. If you do have it towed to the dealer that doesn't mean they will fix it. According to my dealer "the tow driver is NOT a certified Ford technician and we can't take them on their word"

So even if you get it towed, unless it's still frozen they may not cover it b/c they need to see it freeze to prove it.
