I have Mac long tubes and Mac axlebacks along with an offroad x pipe. The setup sounds really nice but it is a bit loud for a daily driver. Now I have a bid in place on a prochamber and if that doesn't work out, then I'll get an off road H pipe instead. Let's say I'm at a 10 right now and want to tone it down to a 7 or 8...I was wondering if I can put these on to lessen the volume to about that 7 or 8.
If you dont have CAT's now adding them will bring it down to a 7-8 from what I have read....I still have my CAT's (stock) and would never run without them because of the side exhaust (very loud already)
Adding the resonators wont change the volume much as they are straight thru in design and it changes the sonic signature of the exhaust to help eliminate/reduce drone.

you can add both if you want but its gonna add extra weight to your car, not sure if thats important to you or not. I'd start with the cats and go from there.
quick question has anyone dynoed to see what the difference is between the stock cats and high flow cats? People say they are "SO RESTRICTIVE" but if the difference is like 5 hp then I dont even care and will save myself the $170 and just use those stock cats on my soon to be pro chamber. Anyone know anything about this?

That's a nice way of describing what resonators do, very nice actually.
High flow cats sound COMPLETELY different from stock cats and they add about 5 hp but if you want to successfully quiet the sound down add glasspacks. If 2 don't do it 4 will. Glasspacks change the sound of the car the least unlike cats.
Personally I just added 4 layres of dynamat and 1 layre of dynaliner to the rear seat, and spare tire area. Went from 11 to 7 (custom straight exhaust) and the people outside the car can still enjoy it.

Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.

I put in glass packs and I think it sounds quieter than without them, but it might be in my head because the tone was so improved that I just liked it better.
If you are interested I have a set of Pypes High flow cats that I had on my car for less than 1k miles if you want them. $80 + shipping. (Have to be welded in.)
I added cats and resonators at the same time and it quieted the car too much for me so i pulled off the cats. They were easier to get out than the resonators. I defineately recommend doing one or the other.
