Im hoping to get one soon but i was thinking. I read that they can be reset using the software included with them or by downloading something online. Does this mean i can load a tune into a friends car, then reset it and use it for mine? He will lose his stock tune though right? If so is there a way to save his sotck tune onto my computer and reload it later if needed? Im just thinking i could get him to chip in $50 or so and load him up a tune before i do my car.
one more thing, will just a tuner get rid of the throttle lag (manual) or will CAI solve that problem more?

You can only use a tuner on 1 car at a time. One will have to be returned to stock in order to load a custom tune into the other. In addition, there are only so many times you can swap back and forth (lock and unlock) a tuner before it shuts you out, I believe. Somone call me on this if I'm wrong.
A custom tune w/o a CAI WILL improve throttle response and provides about 75-85% of the CAI & tune combo's performance gain. Since the CAI is so well suited to being part of the combo, it only makes sense to do the combo in lieu of just the tune.
