Default New SCT tuner Brenspeed trouble

Brenspeed is closed now I guess for the weekend. The only mods I have are Granatelli CAI and Granatelli MPG coil packs. I told them these mods over the phone and they said they'd make a custom tune for me. It came in today and I happened to have 93 octane in my tank so I loaded the 93 tune. Worked great, no throttle lag, very fast throttle response, seemed to spin more when getting second gear. So, I know I want to actually run 89 octane most of the time so I thought I'd try the 89 tune. Terrible, sluggish, push the accelerator and there is a half second of air sucking then the engine revs. So, put it back on 93 tune, same thing with that now. Sluggish. Brenspeed is closed for the weekend now. Should I mess with the options? Oh, I have tires that have 742 revs per mile and they put that in for me too. First ride had the speedometer closer matching the GPS speed with the tune so that's good.

Try to unplug your disconnect your battery and reconnect - it should have erased what it learned when you returned, but sometimes things just need a reset.

Reload the stock tune, run it around the block, then load in the tune of choice. DONT mess with the options!

lol I did that once.. big mistake. I made the car shift so hard with every gear change it would kick my head back, the bad thing was that acceleration was horrible.. buah!

Tried disconnecting the battery, reconnecting, same sluggishness. Reloaded stock tune, went a few miles, loaded 93 tune, same sluggishness. Almost $400, am I going to have to send this thing back to get them to tune it again? Or can they email me the tune or tell me what settings everything should be on?

When you disconnected the battery, did you disconnect both terminals and did you let it sit for an hour or so before reconnecting?

Make sure your CAI is on tight.. and everything is plugged in. Personally, I would take it apart and put it back together again while checking every detail of the CAI installation. If that does not work, I would go back to stock.

In the process, make sure the throttle body isn't stuck.

No, I'll try that this weekend sometime.

Sandman, the cold air intake has been on the car for about a year and a half.
