Default Brenspeed figured out my problem

Dave & Brent together looked at a photo of my engine and noticed I hadn't taken off the extra extension cable harness that came with my Granatelli CAI. I though I only had to take of the mass airflow sensor. Live and learn. It runs great now. No check engine light. I have the 87 tune loaded now. Can't wait to drain the tank and try the 98 tune. I'm always trying to push my MPG also and can't wait for the next 100+ mile trip to see if this SCT tune helps. Thank you Brenspeed.

there really is no way around
it, brenspeed rocks.

i hope you reach your mpg goals, it
would be sad if you didn't and then
started to hate the gas guzzling beast

There must be something in the extra cable
harness from Granatelli besides just wires and insulation.....

Glad it worked out. I was gonna kick yer butt for bad mouthin' Brenspeed! LOL!

As far as improved gas mileage, I travel about 2-4, 400 miles trips one way per month and have a lot of fuel mileage data. To be honest, it'll take quite a few trips to truly average your numbers to tell if you're seeing any change, what with all the different variables. I'm not sure what your expecting to see but I hope it doesn't burst your bubble if you get no significant improvement. It would really be a shame if all you got was performance improvement for your money! Enjoy!

hehe, I figured Nuke was being sarcastic with that last line... I got more of a mpg gain from under drive pulleys and 4.10 gears.. but i do a lot of in 25-35mph city driving I doubt I gained much if anything with the CAI/Tune.
