Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.
Rear seats, superior to carrying your children in your mouth. - Mustang vs Corvette slogan
Here is a list of mods NOT to do because they are not advised for Mustangs:
Lambo doors
Throttle body spacer
Vinyl stripes that end at the hood (Ford)
Chrome tail light trim
Rocker stripes
Giant wing
Fake hood scoops
Neon lights
Other than those lame mods, you can use your imagination to customize your car the way you like it.
alot of thing you can do and most options out there look good

Decide on a general direction or theme for the car, and don't do anything until you have settled on something. Then take your time deciding on the details and try to avoid doing or buying things that may suddenly go out of style. It does not sound like this is going to be a single, sudden overnight change, so pick the early mods carefully with an eye toward what you might be doing later.
It's better for me to make you think about making your own plan than to push whatever preferences and prejudices I might have for/against any of the pieces likely to be involved.
Look at the forum sponsors in the vendor section of this forum. You can get some good stuff from them, and many times you can get a discount by being a member of this forum too!
I've used for my mods:
American Muscle
Stang Suspension
Cervinis
RT Tire Co.
Bamachips
Strano Parts
ect.
