found out yesterday that i'm not going to be able to get the cervinis front bumper I wanted. driveway is just too steep to get up and is going to cost thousands to redo it so I'm holding off. new plan is to get the gt/cs rear bumper to match the front bumper I have, stripe the car and be done with the appearance mods. here's my big problem: i painted the middle part of the gt/cs front bumper to match the rest of the car (see sig). and now i'm thinking about doing the same with the rear bumper... just paint it all one color with no black out in the middle. now here's my problem: if I paint the whole bumper one color I'm going to want to take the stripes all the way down to the bottom of the bumper. is it possible to apply vinyl to the bottom diffuser pieces on that bumper?? if not do you think it will look good just bringing the stripes down to the textured part and stopping there? thanks for any opinions.

I think it looks great, but that's coming from someone who's rear stripe ends before the bumper, I don't know what the guy who owned my car before I did was thinking when he had the dealer stripe the car before delivery?

are you buying the GTCS bumper aftermarket? if so, how are you getting it painted, i understand that it has to be taped off to keep the bottom bit black

I see this thread is a few days old but if your still looking for input. When I had my GT/CS striped we used the Shelby as a reference and did exactly the same thing-stripes running down the bumper-around the license plate-stopping at that plastic at the bottom. It looks alot better than stopping before the bumper and I don't think it would improve much by going onto the bottom diffuser, I'll post a pic if I get a chance today.

i would guess, since that section would be painted, the vinyl will have a more 'uniform' surface to 'hold on' to, so you shouldn't have a problem getting them to hold.
I uploaded a couple pics to Image Shack showing my stripes coming down just below the license plate. The way the plastic is for the bottom most part with the diffusers I didn't think it could really be painted or striped to look good.
