The windows slightly lower and raise when the door opens/shuts.
1- Turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine(dashboard lights come on and chime sounds).
2- After the chime stops, smoothly depress the gas pedal to the floor while counting 1001-1002-1003.
3- Release the gas pedal using the same procedure in 2.
4- Wait 6 seconds, and turn the ignition to OFF.
Your throttle response is reset.
In the cup holders, that little rubber piece at the bottom of the rear cup holder pops out for extra room.
Disengaging the seat belt alarm by doing a buckly/unbuckle procedure. I believe it's plug it in three times (might be 5?) then it goes off. I'm pretty sure you have to do it once on each seat to get it to work for both:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. (Do not start the engine.)
2. Wait until the safety belt warning indicator turns off. (approximately 1 minute )
3. NOTE: Step 4 must be completed within 60 seconds . Buckle and unbuckle the driver or passenger safety belt 9 times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled. The air bag warning indicator illuminates for 3 seconds after this step.
4. After the air bag warning indicator turns off, buckle and unbuckle the safety belt again. This enables the belt minder if disabled or disables the belt minder if enabled.
5. Confirmation of the beltminder being enabled is by the airbag warning indicator flashing 4 times per second for 3 seconds , followed by 3 seconds again.
6. Confirmation of the beltminder being disabled is by the airbag warning indicator flashing 4 times per second for 3 seconds .
7. After confirmation, the deactivation/activation procedure is complete. It's in the owners manual.
On the early '05 models, you can hold unlock on the remote and the windows will roll down.
Put the radio in AM or FM mode. Simultaneously press and hold preset buttons 3 and 6. The speaker does a "walk-around" test of the speakers--RF, LF, LR, RR, subwoofer. While in this mode, press preset button 3. This displays the signal strength of the radio signal--good for comparing one antenna with a different antenna (e.g., the stock antenna with a shorty).
Another for me, but not so hidden, is the amount of hauling space with both back seats down.
Not sure if this is a hidden feature, but it was kinda cool when the fuel gauge turned red to let me know I was really, really, really close in running out of gas.
There is a little hook on the inside of the gas cap. The hook is meant for your gas cap to hang on so it doesn't drop and hit the outside painted panel.
Well this isn't that useful, but to my understanding we all have non-functional shiftlights in-dash right under the 4 of the tach.
If you have a shaker and you hold the menu button down for about 5 seconds it asks you if you want RDS on or off. Turning RDS on will display the name of the station and the name of the song thats playing and the artist thats singing it. If you click the menu button again after the RDS toggle it will say Search: (genre). Use the up/down arrows to choose genres (Top 40, Country, Pop, etc) and the left/right search buttons to find the next station on the radio band that plays that type of music
The car also has sensors on the interior in case someone want to steal it or something!!
The strap for the seatbelt -- saves a lot of stretching. Just unsnap the front end of the strap, feed the safety belt through the strap, snap the strap back, and that's it. And if you decide you don't like it, it's just as easy to unhook it.
The 09 gts hood blanket has a contour that happens to seal the bullitt cai its kinda cool im not sure if its made like that for a reason or just a coincidence
Oh, and there's that clip on the underside of the console cover. It apparently has no specific purpose. Just stick whatever papers you want under the clip.
If you press the text/scan button it swaps between naming the genre of music and the artist/song name.
The grocery bag clips in the trunk (I kinda giggled when someone first told me about them), but I have found them extremely useful....I just "twist/spin" the plastic grocery bag handles, put them on the clips, and surprisingly they stay in place when I get home
If you have an 07-09, you can change whether your headlights come on or not when you unlock the car. It is in the manual and it is a key cycle combined with locking and unlocking the door.
People may already know this but if you are ever driving and notice that your turn signal indicator is blinking really fast...one of your turn signal bulbs have blown out.
I've always had a problem seeing around the rear view mirror... there is another 'pivot joint' at the base of the rear view mirror (where it meets the windshield)
According to the owners manual for my '07. Any guage that has a problem will turn red.
If somebody has their brights on you in the back and they're shining in your face you can push or pull out the tab on the bottom of your rear view mirror and it will reflect the light in a different direction
There is a little acess door in the console on the left side which is great for running wires through. I think its the AUX port for the 07-09s though. The auxiliary input jack on the '07 is on the front inside of the console, next to the power port.
I haven't checked, but there is supposed to be an access cover inside the console so that you can adjust the emergency brake cable. This is supposedly located on the bottom of the inside of the console, at the left front.
There is a fuel kill switch in the driver foot well. It is on the left side near where your left knee would be. It is a red button that you can push. Its a inertia fuel cut off switch. It is tripped by G Force and reset by the little red button.
The button resets it after an impact large enough to trip it.
My favorite "feature" is the emergency cable you can pull if you get locked in the trunk. The cable handle itself glows in the dark.
There is a bleeder screw for the clutch in a manual its hard to get to though
The car has multiple fuel level senders
It also has a "dumb" oil pressure gauge, which has two positions - "normal" and "low"
There is indeed an intrusion sensor in the overhead "console" and cars which were not equipped with the full security system still have the input wire located on one side of the map light connector (sensor wire, batt power, and switched acc power.. which is very convenient!)
There's also mention of an intake manifold runner control module? ..as in variable-length intake manifold?
The car also has fuel rail temperature sensors as well as cylinder head temp sensors which I thought was cool (wish my SCT would display some of this stuff with the onboard monitor/datalogger!)
When you roll up the windows if something is in the window opening while window is rolling up, the window will stop when it contacts that object and roll back down to a prescribed point.
Then there is the coin holder in the console
To reset the auto window, get in roll window all the way down, hold for for 2 sec, roll up all the way and hold for 2 sec. My battery went dead and didnt realize my window didn't go down and shut the door.
On my previous 07 with A/T the doors would automatically lock when you put the Mustang in gear and started to drive. When you stopped and put the selector in park the door locks would open.
I was at the dealer the other day and the guy there told me about how if you leave the gas cap off or forget to put it on sensors will warn you inside the car that it's not on
If you cruising along with you AC on and go to pass someone, when you go to WOT the AC compressor kicks off. Old school trick that used to be done with a vacuum switch to cut out the drag of the AC compressor when you needed more power.
Just spent an hour doing all of this, made it to page 22 and noticed someone else did it too :P
Anyways thats my version. Dunno, maybe some of you could print it off and use it from time to time or whatever, but thats the list of all the things mentioned in the thread.

I don't think it would all that hard to program a small embedded microcontroler to read RPM off the ODB port and just have it light an LED that could be installed in the same spot the shift light is.
