Default 1/4 mi time improvement switching from 3.55 to 4.10?

Could someone could tell me what kind of quarter mile time differences (assuming everything else is the same) I could expect by switching from a 3.55 rear end to a 4.10. Thanks!

Maybe a couple 10ths but it depends on your driving. What kind of times are you running now? Stock tires or DR's? Any other mods?

A couple tenths, maybe a quarter of a second going from 3.55 to 4.10, might pick up a mph.

From 3.31's, 2 or 3 tenths in the 1/8, 3 or 4 in the 1/4.

Kohl,

You car runs excellent on 3.55's

Having thought a bit about it IMO I would not go through the agony and expense of changing gears... my 2 cents

I did it on my convertible and I am pleased with my 4.10s but is a much heavier car and I am a heavier guy too.

(BTW bro I think there is something wrong with my tune. Put on a strategy tune to prepare for an emmision friendly tune (O2 sensors on) and the car feels pulling harder... I will have a talk with brenspeed...)

Just make sure you read the threads about the bad experiences with the 4.10's at least you go with eyes open.
