The whipple tune is for 91, but even if you were tuned for 93, you could simply fill up with the highest octane and drive conservatively.
I've not had a single problem with my whipple in 14,000 miles, so a cross country trip would not concern me.
Do you know if that is the case for all applications? I'm driving from Houston, TX to Jacksonville, FL in late July and would prefer to keep my 93 tune on the whole time, but I was under the impression I'd need to change over to the 89 tune to be safe since some places in LA and AL don't have 93...

I've drive before from CA to Tx and i was running 91 octane. Somewhere along the trip a had to change back to 89 cuz they didn't have 91 octane. good thing i brought my tuner with me. lol
