Default 2010 Ford Mustang GT Full Review: Interior, Exterior, Engine, and Performance article

Hey everyone,

The 2010 Mustang is out there now. What's your initial impression as it drives on the road. Not in shows and magazines and videos. What do you think now that you see it on the road? Did some of you out there get one? Do you plan on getting one?

What was done well? What needs to be done for the next version of the S197?

Beleive me, I would go out there and snap one up if I didnt already have a modified 07. This intrigues me...

The 3500-pound Mustang uses welded steel unibody construction with front and rear subframes to mount the steering and suspension systems, with almost half the body weight in high-strength low-alloy steel.

Did the 2010 modify the subframe over the 2009 or is this just impress-you-talk???? I'm guessing its the latter.

The S197 has always been an awesome chassis, no doubt...

+1 ... I think the interior is really nice and the front looks pretty cool too but the rear end looks horrible!! Thats the main thing that is a real turn off for me with the 2010 model. I wish they kept the 05-09 rear end or something really really close to it.

I definitely don't like the rear of it, but other than that I think it's hot - although for some reason the slope of the front nose kind of reminds me of the new Camaro..

I'll wait for the 2011 with a revised rear end and the 5.0 DOHC engine.
Yes the back-end looks WRONG!

Test drove one this past Thursday, it's got nothing on the 05-09. Interior has some nice things, other things are worse. Outside edge vents round, then the center ones are square seperated by the 12 volt plug, it's just tacky. And the over all exterior goes to the 05-09 as well. I am not a fan. Now the new SHO, yes please!!!!

People that ride in my car say that the circular, infintely adjustable air vents are the best thing they've ever seen and I feel the same. Engineering at it's best.

I did however, have to purchase some polarized sunglasses so the chrome didn't blind me loll.
