Default Shaker 500

Would everyone agree with me when i say this system is crap. For one i have to turn it almost all the way up to listen to music when i am at highway speeds. I have an 06 charger and the stock speaker system on that is awesome. Does anyone know where i can get a shaker 1000? But before i do get the shaker 1000 can someone give me some input on that. I dont wanna waste my money on more crap. I mean i would rather listen to the rumble of my exhaust, but at times its also nice to listen to music.

Mine works fine and I'm quite happy with it. I've never had any problems in the 2-years since I purchased my GT.

I guess after driving my charger for 3 years i got used to the awesome factory stereo system. I guess this is why i am dissappointed. To me the 500 is really not that good of a system.

You should get an aftermarket amplifier. Mine is a Total Mobile Audio T320.4. The change in the sound is incredible: Much cleaner and clearer, with no distortion and much more volume.

You could then put another amplifier in and a JBL subwoofer that fits in the trunk for the bass.

The head unit and speakers are not the equals of the best stuff out there, but are pretty good.

I never have to raise the volume past half-way to listen to it on the highway with my windows down

Though i will be replacing it for ipod / nav reasons

Do you use the Shaker 500's option that automatically increases the volume when driving at higher speeds? Mine is set at 7, and I have no problems with volume at high speeds, even with the fan set on High.

The OEM Shakers are crap and 'upgrading' a 500 to a 1000 is just adding insult to injury.
Why in the world would someone want to add all the rear amps and speakers along with
the expensive needed 1000 Ford wiring harness that 500 equipped stangs dont have.?
Its way more complicated and you still have an OEM battery draining, CD shuffling
with the key off POS after it is all over.
