Default Car cover for GT500 Front End Conversion

I am quitting my job and joining the Navy, and I have to keep my car parked in a lot outdoors for the better part of 13 weeks while I'm in OCS. I'm leaving in a month, and I'm trying to figure out which car cover to buy so that it will fit over the GT500 front end I put on. I bought a car cover to protect my car from a hurricane when I evacuated last fall, and even though the box said it would fit it was too small and I wasted 70 dollars, and scuffed up my California Special front end pretty good. I don't want to repeat that mistake, so I'm trying to find a good one that will fit in the 100 to 120 dollar price range. I was looking at Brenspeeds signature fitted cover, but after talking with them they said it will leave the front or back exposed if I have the GT500 conversion. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well I just headed out to check mine since I have never had the cover on since I converted my front end this past April. Lo and behold evidently I left my car cover down at my parents house where I store the car over the winter.

If you dont get an answer within the next few days, please pm me and I should have mine back by then and can confirm that mine fits and what kind it is and all..

Good Luck

Andretti

Thanks Cutter,

That's a great looking cover, but I was hoping to find something more in the 100 to 150 dollar range. Does anyone else know of a cover that will fit over a GT500 conversion?

I'm afraid that your price range was what made the first $70 cover worthless.
The least expensive, quality covers usually will be around $150.

But for outdoor storage you might need to spend the money. Be sure you get a few extra straps to keep it from blowing up at the corners

here's a trick. lots of times stores have covers for mini vans on sale or clearance because lets face it, who covers their mini van? You can pick them up for cheap and they are plenty big ensuring the entire car is covered and also allowing you to tuck it under the car all the way around.

How about a regular cover, for a premium GT convertible. I bought a cheap one at the parts store the other day, and it didn't fit, even though the box said it would. Does anyone know of a nice cover for about $150 or less? It is going to be inside, and mainly for dust protection. I would love to find one that has a place for the antenna, so I don't have to remove it all the time or cut a hole in the material. I have been looking at the cover craft ones and the Brenspeed, but I don't know exactly what to do. And does it make a difference to get custom fit or general fit?
