Default SCT Tuner guide

Does anyone have a FAQ or anything that explains all the user adjustable options in these tuner devices? SCT's website doesn't seem to have it. :/

The immediate need is going to be to set the proper final drive ratio. Going from 3.55 to 4.10 gears.

I would also like to play around with some of the other settings sooner or later. I've heard the rev limiter is adjustable (but there are 2 settings for it) and sooner or later will need to adjust revs per mile.

It would just be nice to have a guide of some sort with an explanation for some of the options.

You really don't need the guide to reset your gear ratio. It's fairly easy to find on my Xcal2. But typeS beat me to it in providing the SCT link.

The link helped in that it tells me what the option is going to be called. At least for the X3. I doubt its different for my X2.

What about the limiter though? It's not just one setting IIRC.. And I've never understood the explanation for it.

I've adjusted the rev limiter setting from Brenspeeds reset quite easily with my Xcal2 but it's been so long I don't recall how. I'm pretty sure I simply toggled thru the user-adjustable settings menu.

Right but there is like two sub settings for the thing. One is "neutral" I think or "lower". Don't know what the other is called. I can't remember either. But there is no explanation for what they mean.

there are two different rev limiters you can set. one is for if your car is not in gear and the other one is for if your car is in gear. You want the out of gear one at LEAST as high as the in gear one otherwise if you shift at the limiter for in gear, the neutral limiter will knock you back down. I have my in gear at like 6500 and my neutral at 6800 IIRC. Dont play with the timing or fuel enrichment, but the rest of the stuff you can play around with and not cause too much damage to your car. Its kind of cool to set the final drive ratio to the lowest ratio (3.27 i think) and then go drive and it looks like your car is accelerating fast as crap on the speedometer.

Neutral rev limit is for setting the limiter (while you're in park or neutral) revving the motor. The other one is while you're in gear
