Default VHT nightshades

For those that have used the vht nightshades.....
Can i just tape around the corners and spray the tint on the lights as dark as i want them
and call it done?
i dont have a buffer or ever before done anything like that
will the tint hold on? will washing the car wear it out?
ive read over the DIY but that seems way too complicated and
i dont think i have the time for that or patience

It's really not that hard. It won't look shiny, it will be very dull and not really look good.
I have seen some do the VHT and spray the clear and not buff the clear. It looked OK, but not my style.

To answer your question, just about any paint without clear will wear off in time unless it's polyurethane or powdercoat..

take the time and do it right. You will be proud and happy of your work

I have done lots of work with VHT. Take the lights out, clean them with a rubbing compound, a micro fiber towel, and spray a nice and even coat. You don't need to sand or anything of that nature, it worked to perfection on my black gt.

How easy is it to remove? Let's say I spray it on and get a ticket

I used Sherwin Williams Ultrabase 7 Kut-in
Made to be very shinier than the average one because it's used for door jambs where you can't polish. But when you do polish it, stand by to be amased !
