Default FRPP stingers

Who has them? Do you like the sound? I've seen a few reviews on the internet that say they sound kind of ricey with a deeper tone. I'm planning on getting some soon and wanted to get an idea of what they sound like before I drop the money on them

I have em, and love em.... sound ricey.... NOT! I get lots of comments about the nice rumble. Unless I am mistaken, they are made by borla and only dif is the FRPP are 3.5" diameter instead of 4".

I have the Borla stingers (same thing but with larger tips and borla warranty) and they sound great. Not as loud as SLPs or boomtubes but still a great sound. Very very deep ,not raspy and have a nice burble on decel in lower rpms. They drone a bit from 1700-1900 rpm but it doesn't bother me or anyone I've ever had in the car. Oh and they sound fantastic at WOT in any rpm

Ricey?! wa wa whaaat? lol I love my FRPP Stingers and have had them for about 3 years now, but I might be considering a different exhaust route. The drone is starting to get to me, but they DO sounds awesome when you put the hammer down.

the stingers are probably the most popular style of mufler on here....it is far from ricey, the deep tone is very nice and perks the car right up IMO. First mod i did and 4 years later they are still on there along with some LTs. Its great

If you can turn a wrench, it's one of the easiest installs out there....

Glad to see you are getting them.. I had them on my 05 gt and loved them even after I got full exhaust including headers... I loved them so much that when I bought my gt500 it didn't leave the dealership without having them installed.. They sound awesome... Very easy to install

I had Borla Stingers (same as the FRPP 5GT's), and it sounded great from outside the car, not ricey at all, and deep sounding. I loved them, but from inside the car, they were not too loud in the upper rpm's, but, in the lower rpm's (up to 1800-2000 rpm), the drone was killing me, and I have an automatic! If you're not flying on the highway, you're in that zone alot, so I pulled 'em off and sold them. I've had the FRPP GTA's for 2 years now, they're good sounding,a little quiet, and not as cool as the Stingers, but worth the trade off, man what a relief! I would've kept the Stingers if it was a race car, or if I didn't take the car on long trips, but to me, that droning sound ruined the quality of the car, its mostly a stocker, not a heavily modded car.
