I have the one that is on the right side of the stereo. I have the one for the ipod that swivels. My iphone fits in there nicely too (even though the iphone can move a little). I love the thing and it was well worth the money. I will post a pic of mine later.

The cable is coming out from the top of the radio bezel. There is in the center of the bezel a tab that I filed a notch big enough to have the cable slide in and out of. I did not want a cable hanging from the center console or wires running around the radio. I thought this was the cleanest looking mod for the cable. I could have just left the iTouch in the center console but then I could not use all my apps... So what you see is what I decided on

I'll be grabbing one of these cables:

and putting this in place of the 12v power source above the stereo:

that's very similar to what I was trying to accomplish with mine but I wanted even less wire bulk sticking out as possible. The retractable just looked to bulky for my taste.

Hi guys

How stable do you find the mount? I was reading another review where the author was saying that their mount was prone to coming off during hard acceleration if you didn't use the adhesive tape.

My thinking is that it'd be cool to have a proclip dashmount for g-tac and trapster on my iphone, but the clip does look pretty clunky and I wouldn't use it most of the time. I'd want to take off the clip.

Also, can the clip accommodate an iphone in a case, or do you have to remove it from its case to mount it?

Mine is very sturdy but I wouldn't want to take it on and off because of how it clips onto the dash. Of course I'm talking about the middle mount not the side mounts that they also have. I bought the holder that adjusts for iphones with skins, cases on them. So easy to slide the phone in and out of it. I too thought it would be cool for the dyno apps and for a GPS app. I love it.
