Unhappy Please Help

I installed my jlt cold air intake and put a 93 bama race tune on my car, after driving it for about 1 minute, my breaks locked, my steering wheel locked, and the car turned off...

So I loaded the 93o performance on it and service engine light came on, I changed it to 93o tourq and the light went away and everything was fine (shifting was a bit abnormal, maybe cause I'm not used to the cold air intake and the tunes)..

Today I decided to load the race up again and see if the same thing happens, and of course the same thing happend my car locked, etc..

So I loaded performance on my car, it ran fine but the service engine light stayed, so I swiched to tourq and the light still on...

The code is p0506 and the discription says idle air control system rpm lower than expected( it threw the same code for performance and tourq).. I'm very concerned I don't know what to do, I'm sure I'm running 93octane and everything set up right... Please help..

Thanks in advance.

Put it back to stock if you dont have time (and put the stock intake back on)

When you do have time email doug and ask him what mods you have down for it. They could have forgot something too. Its going to be either your strategy is wrong or you didnt put in your intake when you bought the tune.

i bough the tune and cai as a combo from doug, so i would assume he will add the intake to the tune when he writes it.. and also after googling the code p0506, people say it might be the throttel body is dirty.. and some people say they cleared the code and it never came back.. thats what i want to do now for a quick fix, i'm trying to find out how to clear the code with my xcal3.

i know forsure though there is something wrong with the 93octane race tune..

I don't have the x3 in front of me, but I believe it's the 3rd option on the main menu "vehicle info", then you can "Read DTC Codes", "Clear DTC Codes" and "Read Vehicle Strategy". If you want to clear the code, but pick...the one that clears the DTC codes and follow instructions.

I vote with the others, though, to return it to stock if it isn't running right. You definitely don't want to be on the highway headed to work and have the car die and brakes lock up. Better to return to stock and call Bamachips to get it resolved.

I agree with the others, return the car to stock, call doug and get it squared away before continuing to drive it...just as a precaution
