like the other have mentioned it depends on your budget. And don't listen to the people that give you a hard time for it. Personally as long as the person doesn't go around telling everyone its something its not then it doesn't matter make it look like what ever you want. I would say if money isn't a problem you should start with a GT then you'll get the looks and still enough speed to beat alot of cars out there.

I've built BOTH 2 super snake clones from GT's and 3 real super snakes with shelby.
Do NOT start with the GT unless you really know what you are doing inside and out and essentially either have worked closely with super snakes or have studied them for months.
I can BET you that if you start with the GT you will get several minor details wrong that will completely piss off the most enthusiastic fans of the car as you're driving it around.

Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.

Thanks for the input guys. Please know that I already have a very nice GT so the six cylinder thing isn't even a consideration. I just love the look of the SS with those Alcoas, hood, front end and single stripe. I think it's about the best look for the stang there is IMHO. Pictured below is my current GT so I guess the question is: would you add the hood, wheels and front end to this car OR would you sell this one and start with a GT500?

I like your GT 350 stripes. I've thought about adding those but it's hard to find them now. I think Shelby forced people to stop selling them. I did find one place still selling though...for now at least.
dude your car looks great already, me personally I would get rid of the chin spoiler. leave it just like it is, spend the money on a blower, the stock car is great attempts to change it ruin it
