Default TSB 08-2-10 question

Hello All,

So ive decided to get this TSB done to my car, I called the dealership and they said I need to leave my car for 3 days to get this done and the reason is that taking out a tranny is very difficult and they need 3 days. After reading over here about this TSB i read that this wont take them more than 30 min and also a monkey can do this.

Why is the reason they say it takes them 3 days ?

They dont have the equipment to take out the tranny or they really dont really have an idea on what to do ?

I read that just unbolt take out tranny and you are done but now im not sure.

Thanks

I don't know of the TSB you are speaking of but if you really feel like it shouldn't take that long they may be trying to "discourage" you from having them do it.

If all its' going to take is 30 minutes and a monkey can do it then why bother going to the dealership? Do it yourself.

i had my dealer do that TSB to my car, and if they didnt hit the car when it was on the lift, or break the shifter linkage, it would of taken them a day.
