V8 for sure. The SHO gets like 18/24 MPG (i think) and doesnt have a whole lot more power then my 07 GT which can get 30 highway 22 city. I could probably go with TT, forged internals, and all the other supporting mods and put down 750 HP and weigh less then a Taurus SHO for the same price. Then again, it depends on how they execute it in the mustang.

Either way V8... I can twin turbo it if its not enough

I think the poll speaks for itself. There's nothing like a V8 in a muscle car.

it's a Mustang.

not a civic, or any other hatchback. not even a Mustang II (even though those could be badass).

it deserves a healthy V-8. not a hopped up V-6

And actually to torq output of the ecoboost will put the V8 to shame in the low end and seems to hold steady throughout the entire band. this is performance engine meant to shine and make GT owners jaws drop, both this generation and even the next probably.

I am interested to see what actually hits the streets next year for the GT and v6.
I agree and believe it is the "twins" that allow that to happen!!!!!

I see no point in "NOT offering" the ecoboost as a option for the stang! It is the next generation and wave for the future for Ford IMO.....

I have to agree though.....there is no replacement for displacement...like another member said above...I would get the V8 and of course add FI-(this time twins)

^+1 thats what I was thinking. Ford was the first to make a supercharger mainstream and you have a couple of cars now in production with Turbo's. If they decide to do the 5.0 for the 2011 GT why not do a twin turbo version or a twin turbo version cobra.

I would get the v8. I bet you could make the v6 pretty stinking fast though. If you could set up a boost controller on it and put new injectors in I bet you could get some decent power out of it.

Reason I would get the v8 is sound and torque. Turbo cars lag a bit and I want torque for spinning the tires
