We should just send this to ford and any other company trying to go with smaller engines....the people who want to get rid of v8's won't even buy the alternative, so what does it matter? we should be able to buy what we want.

unfortunately.. "v8 only" car people represent a very small minority.. that said.. Ford has been very good at keeping it real with car enthusiasts.

I'll be honest here, it will NOT be an easy choice.

I love me a cammed v8 sound, nothing is better. But history tells us that a TTV6 can REALLY go. I'm talking possibly 450RWHP with simple bolt ons and tune, possibly much much more. Look at the Supra for an example, only time will tell.

With that being said, I'd still get a v8 lol

Twin turbo a 4.6 and your gaurenteed 450. Could hit 800 hp with a forged rotating assembly so i have read.

problem is

a Mustang is a MUSCLE CAR. not a rice rocket. a Supra is nice and all...but I'd rather be driving a MUSCLE CAR with a V-8 and fewer HP.

I just want a fast fun car. There is always somebody out there with more HP. Gotta stick to my principles

Then again, it depends on how they execute it in the mustang.

Either way V8... I can twin turbo it if its not enough
You get 22 in the city? We must have VERY different driving styles!

if you put TT's in a GT and only hit 450, i'd kill my tuner. i just got almost 480whp on a conservatively tuned procharger.

on topic though, v8 FTW!!! I'd imaging that those turbos on the echo boost are pretty small. Like 35-40mm turbos. they spool fast but cant do a whole lot with them. The best way to make insane power with the echo boost would be to replace the turbos with bigger ones...pretty damn expensive.
