Default Wierd sloshing sound...

This is actually a problem on my GF's car which is a 2008 Honda Civic (told her she should have bought a Ford). Anyway when you make a left turn (only happens when turning left) it sounds like water or sand sloshing under the hood close to the front passenger. I've checked for leaks and there is no evidence. The weird thing is it only happens while turning left, the harder the turn the louder the noise. I'm at a loss, any suggestions or ideas???

Air in the heater core? Something in the glove box?

Actually, she SHOULD have bought a Toyota... Honda is my #2 car company. FixOrRepairDaily isn't anywhere close, despite the Stang. (I can hear people's fingers blazing away...)

I'd have to agree with you, the only Ford's I have are Mustangs and trucks, two of each. My family used to have a old Corolla, 240K miles and the body fell apart before the engine.

But back the problem, there is nothing in the glove box and the fluid level's all looked good. Although I did check when the car was hot, I'll have to check again when it's cold. I've heard the Honda's came with the coolant only at the min level and I know she hasn't added any. It sounded like air in the system and was more prevalent with the AC on.

If it's a 2008 it's still under warranty. Let them bust their azz and earn their pay.

From your description, this probably isn't the problem, but it's easy to do. Check the door to make sure there isn't any water in it. Jiggle the rubber covers on the bottom of the door and see if water comes out or if the drain holes are plugged.

Has she been using the AC? The condensation drain could be plugged.
