I read somewhere that the stock stall was 2500. Stall converters are a lot of fun, having gone from stock to 3500 stall (a little too much IMO), I think 3000 is perfect for a daily driven car. Speaking of which, shameless plug in 3...2...1...

I used to think it was impressive when the first STIs/EVOs came out running 13.1s right out of the box. But than again, that's with AWD, LSD, a light chassis, and a quick spooling turbo... we do it with a hand full of mods, gear manipulation, a heavy ass chassis and a big honkin' V-8 lol.

How much more of an improvement do you expect with DRs and a tune??
