thats not good!!! they are in a box in the garage. ford says that they will fit 18 or bigger, but my concern is how close the caliper is to the spokes of the wheel. is the caliper going to stick out a little further or is it the top of the caliper i need to wory about?

You are going to need to worry about the outer portion of the caliper rubbing against the back of the spoke on your wheels. My guess is that your wheels aren't going to have the correct clearance for the upgraded brakes, but your best is to try to call the place where you ordered the wheels from. Hopefully they will be able to give you an exact answer.

When I did mine, I got the replica GT4s. I know that you will need an offset of 40-50mm. Check with the place you got them for your offset size, that's if it's not printed on the box they came in. Here is a little info. http://www.vintagevenom.com/wheel-options

Get a spacer, top race car teams use wheel spacers so it's not just a bandage solution as long as you get a good quality spacer. For the street there are many bad spacers that have created a bad reputation for them all over the internet because the kind of people that need wheel spacers on the street are usually lacking forsight, don't want to pay for new wheel and in turn quality or unlucky the last being your case.
H&R is a good brand I would recommend for wheel spacers for your use.

Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.

i think if i got a spacer to make these work the wheel would be even or past the fender. i will probably exchange them for the bear 2 piston set up...they are going to be the easiest from what i can find at this point..
thanks for the help
