Just got the one the OP linked in and I don't like it. It does work with a 2006 mustang but it feels cheaply made. Its a far inferior key to the other one listed in this thread (to bad I haven't been able to get that one to work on my 2006).

I have set the panic off on my car at least six times in the last two days with the new key. The buttons aren't recessed and they get hit very easily. I am ordering the switchblade key and ditching the one I thought i liked yesterday. It's impossible to find the button to unlock the doors at night without hitting everyone of them. I have been popping the trunk accidentalyl also just carrying the key in my pocket. I change my mind on saying the one i bought was good and i just don't recommend it at all. PITA.
I want to just get the one Ford makes that was mentioned before, but on my Google search i found several threads that say it doens't work with the 05. sigh, hope the switchblade one is better.

I haven't gotten the switchblade to work on my 2006, but the seller is sending me a new board to try out. According to him it doesn't work with 20% of 2005-06 cars. Dunno why that is 2005-06 use the same remotes if it works on one it should work on them all.
I'm waiting for the new board for my key as well. I had no problem programming the key to work - but have not had any luck getting the remote programmed. My car was built April 2006.

Joolander...any problems with that key you got? Did you have to shorten the key or anything like the OP in the other thread?
i could have shortened it a little, but i think it would not have cleared the trunk if i made it the same length as the normal key. to be honest, the length really doesn't bother me
i dont have any problems with the key itself or the remote
i plan on finding a running pony symbol to put in place of the ill-proportioned Ford logo, but thats just a slight cosmetic thing
Seller got back to me already gave me a choice of a 1st gen remote board or a refund (have to send my key back 1st), I took the 1st gen remote. Love the key just want the remote to work.
