Okay I have a problem with my CD player in my car. I have 4 CDs in the player and i try to load another and it says SLOTS FULL then I try to eject one and it says CD ERROR and when I turn the key on the cd player makes a clicking noise, so Im wondering if anyone knows how to fix it. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

An '05 is likely out of the warranty period. Unless there is some extended plan in place, the dealer is unlikely to do anything for free.
Sometimes these Shaker 500 units go nuts if the battery voltage is low. So check that.
The next thing would be to disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes and see if the computer resets itself.

I had a single disk ford CD player in another car and the same clicking thing happened. The CD wouldnt play. This might not be the best first step but I woud pound the front of the player and eventually it would play the CD. But remember I didnt have a 6 disk changer so I assume there are more moving parts to break by using my caveman methods.

Well i don't have any warranty I tried beating the holy hell out of it and I disconnected the battery and its still doing the same thing. So I actually took out the CD player and took the unit apart and I was able to get one of my cds out so I put it back in my car now its still clicking. Anymore ideas anyone?
My 07 does the same thing. I can't get it to load so anyone who can recommend a solution will be appreciated. For ejecting, try loading on the slots with cds in. Press load, choose the slot and insert anaother cd. It won't take the new disc and will eject the other disc.
