157db, you're talkin' to batteries? What are you guyz smokin' down there? LOL! Yeah, batteries can and do 3 months standing on their... uhhhh... heads. But these aren't your typical batteries and if most of those failures that we've seen with the OE batteries is from plate sulfation, then that can occur just while sitting dormant. I just hope to slow that process down if possible. Who knows. I might just speed it up...

I have several Battery Tender Plus models. They are alot beefer 1.25a vs .75a and they dont look like cell phone chargers. I alternate the tenders every few weeks religously througout the storage season between equipment. I just replaced a 7yr old batt for safety.
Have run one of these since 2005 on the mustang, everytime I park her between weekends and Nov to March the charger is on, original battery still going strong.
Also have these units on F150 and camper trailer batteries while parked over the winter stored in garage

saves batteries from the dead as well...had 1 battery that had sulphated really bad and it CTEK managed to get it working for another 8 months
best $70 ive spent on chargers / tenders ( been thru a few )
What is this 1.3 to 1.5 amps of parasitic draw you keep posting time after time after time? The parasitic draw should not exceed 50 milliamperes.

When I deployed to Africa for 15 months, I used the Jr. model ($39) and disconnected the battery. After all that time, just reconnected the battery and the car fired right up. Definitely money well spent. They do have a model that will maintain 2 batteries at the same time. Not sure what it cost off the top of my head though.

I store my mustang over the winter in the garage using a battery tender. here are my observations.
1. I believe I have the battery tender jr. It's just a single larger than normal wall plug in unit with the connections coming out of it. It shows when the unit is not connected properly, when it's charging, and when it's at full charge by an LED.
2. I leave the battery in the car and connected, then just connect the tender to the terminals.
3. Being in the garage I'm looking at the damn thing all winter wishing I could drive it! But, I imagine I could leave it for extended periods and not worry about it. I have not had ANY problems what-so-ever with my battery tender, works like a charm!
exactly what I do and the cars minimal functions all stay in tact for the long sit over the winter......the best investment I have made and only like the battery tender IMO
