My Hot Rods just came in and on mine, the first number/letter combo RF-XXX is the same as in the first post here. But the second number is different. It's 0728532169.
I didn't compare the second cam's numbers. So it looks to me, that cams from Ford will have the same RF-XXX stuff, but it's the second number that matters.
When I just now came back to this thread and saw my RF-XXX numbers was the same, I started to freak out. lol. But thank goodness my second set of numbers are different. The thought of paying $575 (well 600 after shipping) for stock cams made me ill. But it looks like that's not the case.
Come on Thanksgiving Day.....
This is going to be the slowest several weeks ever. At least I'll have enough time to get a new Brenspeed tune and my Bama tunes updated for cams.
So I just bought some used cams... Part# RF-5L1E6251-BC/0520630805 and RF-5L1E6255-BC/0518034575
So there is no way to tell except to call FRPP tomorrow I guess. This thread had me worried also until I saw SirKnight's FRPP's had RF also and not XE.
It's strange though that Ford put specifically XE in the shop manual and then not have them. How is one to know which one goes where if they weren't paying attention when they took them out.
