Politely tell your wife that you stopped accepting demands when you left high school. Not to sound like a jerk but the only person who demands anything from me is the person filling my pocket each week...My boss.

I've always wanted remote start but was told it wasn't possible on a manual. I've also heard storied about them being unreliable, preventing you from turning off the car and such.

Until you posted that, I was translating the thread title something like
"Honey, I'll turn the car on while you dig me a path out to it."

But seriously, I avoid using a scraper as much as possible. I've had grains of dirt that were either embedded into the scraper blade or just sitting on the windshield end up scratching the glass when the scraper runs over them. Then I have to put up with the scratches all the time.

Don't think I'd ever get one for myself, though. Not gonna risk having the P-brake ice up on me and not release the brakes when I put the handle down, so it stays parked in either '1' or 'R' depending on which one would move the car in the least expensive direction should the clutch accidentally engage for any reason. Getting an AT is not an option.

I would really like this too. Could someone please explain what our options are for a manual transmission?

I looked into getting a a remote start for my car, which is a manual. I went to 3-4 different shops and none would do the install. They don't want to be responsible for damages that can be caused by forgetting your car is in gear and hitting the push start. If i could find someone to do the install, id probably get it done. My cars in neutral 95% of the time its parked anyway.
