My cars in neutral 95% of the time its parked anyway.
I have a habit of always leaving the car in first...

idk what shop will do it for you guys
but i can tell you it is possible....

i have an 08 manual and been having the alarm/autostart for over a year with no problems
it will only autostart if the e brake is engaged... even before the autostart im used to engaging ebrake and neutral all the time.

you can also be in the car on and leave it on taking the keys with you and lock it... convenient if you just stop for something quick

Here you go.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ULTRA-START-REMO...item5ad3e97c58

And here's a link to the specs and installation instructions so you can see how it can safely be installed in a manual transmission.

Of course you will still need an ignition key transponder bypass. Good luck!

I added a viper alarm remote start to my car. But I used to be an installer so I know how to do it. If you have a manual, you can add it. Having it set for the ebrake up...if you leave it in gear. It can still drive your car. So be careful. Good luck

I have 'fixed' so many of their 'forked up' installs.
They fork up your wiring and dont guarantee their work.
You can be her remote start.
Get out there and start it for her and then have her
start you UP.
Factory is the only remote start that retains the PATS
system. Others bypass it and make it very easy to steal...
You get what you pay for and the Factory price is a good value...

I do agree, they will 'fork up' your wiring the thing I would like to correct is they do guarantee the work. If something doesn't work or stops working bring it to any BB and they will fix the problem...

But yeah, cheap labor = well you know the rest...

the OEM unit is made by Code Alarm.

contact Travis @ KCAutosounds

http://www.kcautosound.com/home.php

he is highly recommended by the F-150 community. Provides custom wiring directions, and sells his stuff at a competitive price.

I had a Remote Start/Alarm on my 2005 Durango. Biggest mistake I've ever had. The remote start was nice, but the damn alarm was nothing but problems. randomly refused to work at times. and then occasionaly the dash went funny at times and I got airbag warning lights.

it was all alarm module related.

Remote Start + a stick scares me. There is alot of power in a starter. The starter can do a burnout on battery power alone. If you forget to leave her in neutral just 1 time...well you are going to have 1 hell of a high repair bill.
