Default Fog Lights on V6

Hello all,

Just a quick question - I have an '05 v6 'stang, and I'm looking into adding fog lights to it. I've shopped around a bit online, and it seems I can buy the lights and the wiring harness with a switch.

What I'm wondering is if I have to get a new grill for this as well with slots for the lamps, or if I can just attach them directly onto my stock grill. The product descriptions don't really seem to say either way.

Thanks for the help.

You will need a different grill that has the holes cut out for the fogs... I just happen to have my factory GT grill (I dont have the lights or wiring tho) Im going to sell if your interested let me know.

You will need a new grill unless you want to ghetto rig it.

Did you get the big fog lights like that is on the GT or the smaller ones like on the Pony Package?

This is the front of my Pony Package;

Neither yet. Would I have to get a new grill with the pony package? I've never even heard of that, I've just been looking at standalone (and what I assume to be GT) fog lights.

The pony package lights are what you see on the blue mustang above.

The GT lights are the large lights that are about the same size in diameter of the headlights.

With a stock V6 mustang, you my be able to get away with just getting a new grille that has the fog light and horse cut outs. Not sure though. There may be size and connection differences between the pony package grille and the regular grille, even though they are both for V6. But if you want to get the GT fog lights, you will need to buy a whole new bumper and grille. Search my posts, I had a topic already specifically about a V6 with a GT grille and fog light set up.

If you are interested in the Pony Package set up, you can get one here or look around;

I have seen some guys on here switching out their PP grille for a GT style. I personally do not like the big fogs on the GTs, but that's me.
