FWIW, Brenspeed told me that the EMC in the 09 Mustang is different than the 05 – 08. The reason I asked them is that my 09 feels a lot stronger than my 07 did with the same 93 octane config. So the 10 may have the 09 type ECM.

Higher octane gas isn't supposed to help the max HP out, but increase midrange torque by up to 10ft*lbs. I've noticed a difference in performance on my Bullitt using different octane. The gas mileage didn't seem to make a difference, though. One other difference they were supposed to carry over from the Bullitt was a larger damper to help with high rpm harmonics.
The '08 Bullitt's PCM is capable of adjusting somewhat to different octanes but still doesn't match the additional RWHP that a custom tune can deliver. It's apparent that the stock tune of the '10 has been updated similiar to that of the FRPP tune offered to improve the stock tune for the 05-09's.
