I don't think y'all understood what the OP was really trying to ask. The gauge lights are WHITE during the day or when your headlights/running lights are off. When you turn your lights on at night they turn GREEN. ***This is standard for all GT's w/o MyColor***
I think what he was trying to ask was...If they can turn green AND white, than are there two different sets(colors) of LEDs/Lights behind the dash? If so, is there a way of 'isolating' or bypassing the signal that makes them turn green when you turn on your headlights?
I mean there has to be some signal going out or coming in when you hit your healight switch to make them change...is there anyway of blocking this signal from going to the (I'm guessing the SJB)?
its all done with programming so no you cant accomplish what you are asking without also altering other parts of the computer

right on, this is why i switch instrument clusters to the mycolor setup, didnt like the straight green
Thanks for all your replies guys, Matt, Did you have the same problem and just switch cluster and select buttons for the MY COLOR. Was it just a plain swap and it worked ?

there is a little more to it. You have to get the cluster, the buttons and have the dealer do some programing for it most times. Its about 350 all in for parts and labor at least
I don't know anything about the wiring for the standard lights like the OP has, but from all the wiring diagrams I've seen for various electrical functions, it might be a simple matter of lifting and/or swapping some wires at the SJB; perhaps reversing the wiring for when it's white and when it's green...
Coincidentally my "MyColor" cluster is giving me trouble. I'm gonna be taking it in for repairs later this week. If the tech is cool maybe he'll give me some insight as to how the lighting colors are set up and I'll report back. I'm kinda curious about that also since my daytime lights work fine, but the night time lights refuse to work. Even changing colors doesn't help, and I have checked the fuses, so it's a trip to the dealer for me.

Well, went to the dealership this morning and they ordered me a new cluster. Didn't bother to test it, diagnose it, hook it up to anything, etc. The tech said it's just not worth the trouble to figure out what is wrong and with which module. They don't fix it anyway, so why bother. They just order a new one preprogrammed and pop it in there.
I asked the tech how the lighting works and he said there is a set of LEDs in there that can change color. Not several colored LEDs, but one set that will change color. It changes color by changing the current or amps or something like that. He didn't know exactly but he said it was just one set of LEDs. Which makes sense because any of you that have the Ambient lighting pkg will notice that the light for the ambient lighting is just one single LED that changes color. Look under your dash and you can spot that little LED all by itself under your dash pointing down. Hope this helps.
