I see that you have an off-road pipe. did they simply disable your rear o2 sensors? or fix the problem?

And I assume that if you get your tuner from company A, that you can't have another company tune it?

Oh no...I if understand your question correctly. When you purchase an SCT tuner (which I recommend because every mailorder tuners supports it) you can get tunes from any of the multitude of online/mailorder tuners.

The problem with mailorder tunes is they give you a "best guess" tune for your particular modifications. Since 80% of folks will just have intake and exhaust mods it's pretty easy for them to write a tune that will work "ok" with your setup.

If you're asking if someone else will modify the tune you purchased from Brenspeed, then no, they will not do that. You'll have to pay for another tune from them first. I called JDM and they were AWESOME to work with. The guys were out racing but the gal that answered the phone was spectacular and answered all of my questions. Give them a call and see if they give the same bs speech brenspeed did. They could have helped me with a major problem I was having but I figured it out before requiring a tune from them. JDM is supposedly looking to open a shop down here in Houston. I'll be the first one at their door...

Thanks for all the help guys. I got my tuner from Brenspeed, and I'll just have to see what I can do if the problem does start acting up. I don't want to let it ruin my enjoyment of the JBA's. I got the JBA's from American Muscle and they said that I'd have to pay $50 for them to get them into their system, and then they can send a tune to whatever company is doing the tune for me.
So would AM maybe have a fix for the potential problem? And which JDM is this? I searched for it and found a ton of companies, one of them was some online ministry :P

Ok, just called JBA and they asked what other mods I have done to the car, and they said they certainly can send me a tune to take car of the check engine light problem. Granted, it will cost me a bit more than a standard tune... but I think it will be worth it to not have to deal with these stupid issues.

Hahah,
If they can't get it to work right then I will definitely see what JDM can do too, I just figured that the company that makes it would know what to do!
