I've had my 4.10s since mid-summer. I love them.
Congratulations.

My husband and I just installed 4.56's in mine. They whine pretty bad. most of the info I find on Richmond gears say that they are bad about whinning. I can def tell a difference on launch at the track. I love them. I was shocked it didn't effect my fuel economy much.

Do you not do much highway driving? People always say they lose about 2 to 3 with 4.10's typically. So I'd think 4.56 would lose a bit more than that. Especially with the 5R55S having a lower 5th (o/d). 70mph with stock tire diameter, 5R55S in O/D (.75:1) would run 2962 RPM w/ 4.56. That's ~300 more than 4.10s.

That sure is a big difference than my 2150 RPM @ 70 w/ 3.31s.

congrats man. I've seriously considered those 4.10 gears...but i don't think they'll be very friendly with the blower I want next year

that is kinda high rpm don't you think?

both my Expy with 3.73 and my Bullitt with 3.73 runs about 2000-2100 rpm at 70 mph.

both are about 1800 rpm at 60 mph.

I put a taller tire on it. 28", so my RPM at 70 is only 2600 to 2700. still averaging 24 MPG on highway.

this will definitely be my next mod, and I don't even mind kissing first gear goodbye (due to the sc), as 2nd and 3rd are going to be ridiculous!

have fun, witte!
