Default Charge Motion Plates

for those of you with these, did you have to have a dyno tune done to use these, or can i just email doug at bama and have him upgrade the tune. also is the install difficult or should someone be able to do this at home

mail order tune will be just fine

install wise, I think it's easy. But i've been wrenching for years. It is something you can easily do in your driveway over the weekend.

but are the gains worth the effort? from what I've read, the deletes don't give you alot of HP gains

The email tune will be fine.
Install time should be 1-2HRs depending on your mechanical skill level, it's not too difficult and can be easily done in the driveway @ home.

A little bit here and there (hp) adds up eventually so I am going to do this as soon as I get a few bucks ahead which probably means after Christmas now.

Did mine in the garage in about 45 mins. Not hard at all. Felt a little increase in power. But what I noticed the most was the lack of the above 3k burst of power i had before. Its now a steady pull in power.

I've heard about them

Seems that most people would rather buy and install a 2008 intake with the delete plates

the basics of thier install is the same though. I'd talk to Brenspeed about the plugs

but why buy another intake+the delete plates when its going to be way more costly? whats wrong with the $60-80 plugs? just curious why someone would do that.

because the 09 intake has all of the crap integrated into it.

the 05-08 doesn't...not really sure why, but I'm guessing for a clean looking install?
