Default Anyone Have Ford Racing Power Pack Installed?

I am looking to buy the FRPP Power Pack for my 05 GT and was wondering if anyone on here has it installed and is it worth the money. For everyone who is going to tell me I should buy a tuner and get a custom tune, I know, it might give me a little more power but I am skeptical about doing that again since I had a tune on my 01 GT and ended up having to replace the computer because it went crazy. I know there are a lot of exhaust systems that are lounder than the GTA's, but I don't want any drone whatsoever and have read that they do not drone at all. Anyone with an opinion feel free to chime in.

the power pack....i assume is the bullitt cai and tune and something else? it is pricey! reconsider the tuner, the s197 is very different than your previous new edge.

YES!

if the power pack is like that then its not worth it...
pretty much 75% of the S197 owners on here have a Tune and CAI
i would put money on the fact its safe

I did it, and it is definitely not worth it. I got the FRPP CAI, Pro Cal tune, GTA mufflers, (and can't forget the FRPP oil filter) with labor for close to a grand. I have long since got an SCT2 Xcal with a real, dyno tune from JDM, and I got a Saleen Extreme Inlet air tube, but kept the FRPP CAI.(the filter/heat shield ass'y) I also kept the GTA mufflers. They mufflers have no drone, and sound great at WOT.

Save your money, just get an aftermarket CAI, and a tune, preferably dyno if you're close to a good shop, or at the least a "canned" email tune, and a handheld tuner such as SCT or Diablosport. You won't regret it, trust me, the FRPP kit is not worth it. Then get the GTA's, or buy a used pair .
