I am going to upgrade my factory fog lights to the Retro-Solution's Digital 35W fog light HIDs. The question is whether I want the 4300k or the 5000k kit.
Does anyone have any pics using the Retro-Solution's fog light kit with the factory HID headlights? If so, please post them and let me know what temperature you got. I want to get as close as possible to the "color" of the factory HID headlights.
Please note: I know that a more yellow light is better for driving in fog, drizzle, and snow; but south Florida doesn't have those conditions. I am just looking for more output in the same color.
Thanks in advance...

I have this same question. I was thinking about doing a 3000k kit but thats too honda-ish so i'd rather have it be OEM color match as well. Pix and background info for those who have done will come in very handy.

3k is not honda ish it is funtional and the best color/temp in rainy foggy conditions i love my 3k hids...but the stock hids are rated at 4700k (5k) so if you want them to match go with 5k... Id get em from hid guy but thats just me!!! Hidguy.net FTW!

lol i didnt mean honda-ish as an insult. I know functionality wise the 3000k will be the best choice but the yellow fogs is considered to be a very "JDM" thing hence why I said it.

^ lol no i know exactly what your saying i dont think they look bad on lower foglights like the gt500,roush...etc but i don't think they would look good on the gt fogs in the center eventually i will be putting the gt fogs behind the gt500 grill and those will be 6k as well i just didnt want all 3 sets to be 6k i just think it all blends in too much! Each to there own though i gotta say the 3ks put out soooooo much light i have my windshield tinted and need all the light i can get SOME times!

No, OEM HID are 4300k, only OEM Philips D4 bulbs are 4800k and they are still rare on vehicles these days.
Also, the OP asked regarding Retro-Solutions products, posting pictures of a vehicle with another company's product will only help to confuse issues regarding color, output, glare, etc. because ours do differ in measurement and production from most others.
