Well said Nuke as I really like the old school, large sidewall look on "muscle cars"!! I would have preferred staying with 17's to keep more sidewall, but there are not many options out there aside from 18s and 20s.

Nice job to the OP!!! Too bad there is not a tire vendor out there making a raised white letter option!

I have no experience with it but that looks like it should work.

I probably will just break down and get a pen. But I don't know if I should go with one from an auto parts store or online. I already understand that it will require constant touch ups, but hell, where I work I can always just walk over to my car during any slow period of the day and do a quick touch up. I truely love the look of RWL tires.

These are some great tire paint pens, and are available in different colors. They cover very well and the paint is very durable and is designed specifically for tires.

Anyone use the pen that NJ posted? I went ahead and ordered one, despite the seemingly high price (compared to everything else I saw). And like I said, depending on how long it lasts, I wouldn't mind doing touchups while at work.

I figured I'd go with a pen instead of a crayon. Though I don't have any experience with them, I'd figure a crayon would flake off easier than the pen. But we'll find out. After I get it I'll give you guys a review, if anyone is still interested.

And just a p.s. The paint job I did on my tires at the beginning of this post is actually still holding up. Well, one tire is at least. I did both my rears. The driver side I only wiped down with a rag, then applied the paint. And about an hour later I went to the passenger side, used I.D. Red (degreaser/brake cleaner) to clean the tire sidewall, then applied one quick crap coat of paint. The driver side didn't last the drive home that day (hence why I took another photo of the passenger side). But the passenger side seems to still be holding up. It's starting to flake, but from about 10 feet away you wouldn't tell. Though, it is turning a slight yellowish color. All I used was a heavy duty auto paint (we have concrete pump trucks that are on construction job sites and are prone to heavy wear and tear that we use the paint on) and I'm actually surprised how long it's holding up. I even did some quick digs just to get the tires spinning and it's still hanging on

Anyway, like I said, the pen should be at my door on Tuesday, so I'll give you an initial review after I wash my tires properly and apply (probably that Wed.), then give another review probably a week from then on how well they hold up.
