Default SCT tuning program and 02 sensor extender help

Ok, first off I need to find a program for my computer so I can take email tunes and put them on my tuner. Mac preferably, but I'll take a Windows one too, whatever I can get.

Also, more in the JBA header issue, I just got some long tubes and a midpipe and my car is sitting in the shop because I can't find any rear sensor extenders to fit. American Muscle said the ones they sold were for the rear, but they ain't. And the plug doesn't fit the front ones either, unless they ground off the plastic a bit. So, if you have JBA long tubes, where did you get the rear sensor extenders? I've been told they aren't necessary, but why does no one make them? I have some coming from Brenspeed, but they may also be for the front sensors.

Right now, I don't want my car to sit in the shop for God knows how long before I could find the sensor extenders and it's my drive to work, so I just want the dang car back.

The shop that installed my JBA longtubes fabbed the extensions themselves. It's not too difficult. If you explained to Brenspeed what you need they'll send you the correct item. What tuner are you using? SCT, Diablosport etc.

I spliced (soldered and sealed) the o2 sensor wire to make them long enough. Screw the $30+ for extenders!

I've got an SCT. I looked on their site and it's possible I'm blind but I couldn't find any software that you can get.
And will the car run without the rear sensors attached?

Exactly tx_zstang! What kind of shop do you have the car in Vankor? A dealership??? Any exhaust shop would fab those extensions in a minute.

sure it will run. as long as the 02's are threaded in and disabled in the tune. even if they're not it will still run with a CEL.

For the SCT, go here and to device updates and downloads, choose your models device update software.

http://sctflash.com/techsupport.php

then SF3 "enhanced updater software"

Thanks Rubrignitz. No, the car is not in a dealership. It's a repair shop, but the owner has been doing performance type of work on cars for years. He's got a few 8 second cars, so he SHOULD know what he's doing. But then again he's not the only one who works there. They may be worried about any sort of "not street legal" issues but I don't "think" this would be a problem. Now I just need to put windows on my Mac (the joys of intel processors), get the program and download the tunes, and hope that I don't screw up what is already on there.

And what's a CEL?

CEL = check engine light. Maybe give them a gentle reminder that extending the O2 harness is an option. Good luck man.

CEL, check engine light... Duh, I should have been able to figure that one out! :P
Thanks for your help though. I will post on this thread when I find out what's what.

Alrighty...
JBA Long tubes installed (with the aid of 02 sensors being plugged in for sake of feeling "complete" and... No CEL! Thank God! Kind of a hassle though, since I went through all that effort of trying to find out a cure for a potential problem, but at least it's ok.

So now, I am looking at places to sell my old exhaust parts and my old UD pulley to. Does anyone on these forums buy that stuff? Otherwise I will just see what I can get for it as recyclable metal.
And my Flowmaster mufflers have 17,000+ miles on them. Time for a replacement? I may go with Borla for a different sound, but there are SO many mufflers to choose from.
