All fantastic posts, thank you so much. I had a bunch of paint work done, on an ins. claim, by the shop of my choice and I chose so poorly that things got hostile. I never got the work completed properly and State Farm couldn't do anything themselves. They told me specifically, if I use their "preferred" shops they would deal with any and all problems that may arise.
I love this car, almost 5 years now, beat the **** out of it, spray the ***** off of it, and never a (tsb related ha ha) glitch. I hope the frames not bent.
I'll talk it out with the shop as they haven't seen it yet and I'll just do what I've got to do.
Incidentally, The Gen 1 fascia install/fit was not that bad.
Thanks again

Reason: addition
As a shop owner, there are parts that I will not mess with...
They just don't fit or need way too much work.
If the book states 2 hours to remove/re-install a part, that's what the Insurance will pay.
If you spend 5 hours to fit a junky aftermarket part on the car, you're then 3 hours in the red.
Times so many other jobs a year, you might as well close the doors.
When a customer doesn't understand that, then I remind him that I'm not the only shop in town.
Dont shops use aftermarket body parts to fix veh back to stock anyway. What would be the difference in installing a stock appearing aftermarket front facia and an aggressive looking aftermarket facia.

With aftermarket stuff, it's hit or miss.
A stock appearing aftermarket part that fit is called CAPA (Certified Aftermarket Part Association) but it's still not 100%.
You have to know which ones are good...
Cervini fits.
Razzi doesn't.
And so on...

And as stone cold would say...THATS the bottom line. I had $4k of mod insurance on the car and dropped it. It's a waste.
