I simply don't get it. For about 1/2 the cost you can take a stock GT and upgrade the suspension and SC it and STILL walk away with more RWHP than the 427R. What else besides the Roush name do you really get?
I guess just like the Saleen and Shelby you are paying for the name, as well as selling it in the future for more than that S/C GT because of the name.
It's a car that has lower production numbers than a GT making it more desirable among collectors.
what I don't get, is that you can by a GT500 for about the same. Bigger motor, bigger blower, bigger tranny, bigger brakes, bigger fuel system.....And it is never built on a base GT, it always has the upgraded interior and stereo... you get a lot more car for the money with the Shelby GT500.

Roush does not build it's new cars from base models, most of them are premium GT's. The Roush is definately more fun to drive IMO (go drive both) and then make an opinion. The Shelby has the big anchor up front the 5.4 engine also which means it also doesn't handle nearly as well as the 427R. Bigger doesn't always mean better either. The Roush is quicker around a track than the Shelby too I believe. and of course with the Roush cars you get the infamous Roush interior on the already improved premium interior.
