Well, if it doesn't move and is just a piece of plastic you don't paint...it matches the bottom of the car!

Looks cool regardless, IMO.

Did you check the Spoiler Store on E-Bay? They do the 2005-2009 GT500 spoilers, painted for under $100.

Yep. Their 2010 one doesn't look quite right to me.

Installed the spoiler last night...love it. The install wasn't too bad, about an hour and a half. Getting the old one off (actually, getting the 3M tape off) was the worst part, forget it if you don't have a heat gun.

Only problem was for some insane reason, the dealer painted the gurney flap to match and IMO it looked stupid. So they're painting it black and I should have it tomorrow. I'll post pics when it's all done.

Wow, what a bunch of idiots. I guess they don't have any GT500s on their lot? If it still looks like crap, make them replace the flap.

Yeah, this dealership...the sales guy is really a stand-up guy. But the service department stinks. It's one of those huge companies that owns a ton of dealerships (different makes) so they have a central body shop.

The installation instructions are pitiful (the illustrations are of an '09!) the ones on the Roush website were much more helpful.

I think the paint will look fine since unlike the plastic lowers, the flap is smooth with no texture.

BTW, where did you see the bit about adjusting it? It's held on with the same tape that holds the spoiler. That stuff is not user-friendly when it comes to removal!

I believe it was an Edmunds article that said the flap was adjustable and replaceable. I thought the Ford Accessories site said it was replaceable, but I just looked and it does not. I also have not seen any other flaps for sale anywhere.

I have no intention of ever messing with it, for me it was a purely cosmetic thing. I love the way it looks. I also just ordered the GT500 lower rear diffuser.
