I have decided I'd like to go with a LT header setup, but I want to know, if you guys do, which brand is the most gain for the least expense, and I'd also want to know what kind of midpipes you recommend and most of all what kind of mufflers. I've heard awesome things about Borla, Pypes, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, JBA, all of that, but I've heard Roush's systems are way too expensive. I think I would like to stay, maybe JUST below the legal limit or right at it. If y'all have advice on a setup that works for you I'd be happy to take it into consideration. Thanks guys.

are LT's legal in texas? since im not a gt i cant tell you exactly what, but my setup sounds beastly for a V6. i gotta say and im going to stand by this, the only mufflers i will ever buy again will be flowmaster american thunders baby! what kind of sound do you like? Xpipes give more HP, but i personally thing H pipes give a better deeper sound.

I would call Brenspeed and see what kind of numbers they are getting with all the headers they stock. I personally plan on going with Mac LT's since they are cheaper and I heard they have a good HP gain

If you are going to install LT's with a O/R H or X (no cats), you'll want to consider a chambered-type muffler.(stock, GTA, Flows,etc)
If you go with LT's & a catted X or H pipe, Look into the straight-thru type muffler.(Pypes,Loudmouth,FRPP GT5s,etc)
Most LT's will net you similar HP gains, but do some research into the brands. Some are actually mid-length tubes.
Also, the tube diameter should be a consideration; 1 5/8" for N/A & 1 3/4" for boosted applications.
Less expensive LT's include Pypes, OBX & Macs.
Do alot of reading & research on the topic.
