Let me give you an example of good customer service from another site sponsor. I ordered some blinkers from AM for my car. When the original set came in I was a dumb a$$ and took one look at them and thought they were headlights for a new edge before I pulled the front bumper and saw just how big those things are. I called AM and told them they sent me the wrong part and they gladly sent me out a new set. Being that I was a tool and didn't check before i complained the parts didn't fit when the second set came in I complained again that I got the wrong part. They sent me a thrid set no questions asked. Before the third set came in I pulled the front bumper to install my headlights, realized they were correct all along and called AM up to tell them it was my fault and their parts were fine. What did they do when I fessed up? They still paid the return shipping on the third set of blinkers even though it was my fault and they were in the right all along. They paid shipping twice for something my fault entirely. That is going out of your way to make the customer happy, even when they are wrong.
The moral of the story here is that if these wheels were fixed, even if CC isn't at fault, these guys would be here singing your praises instead of making the rest of us think twice about using CC. Which way will cost you more money i wonder?
+1 to AM. I've had to deal with their customer service a few times due to me getting damaged parts from shipping (damn UPS!) and they were awesome to work with and have some of the most impressive service I've ever seen. I got replacement parts shipped out at once with no hassle. Those guys are great.
Another place that has excellent service like AM is Lethal Performance. I had a set of pillar gauge pods that was not riveted correctly and they sent me a new one immediately and included a return label (for FedEx I think) for the defective one on their dime.
Companies that take their customer's word for it always are high on my list and will get return business and business from others as I will spread the good word, just like I have done here for AM and Lethal.

as someone that owns the alcoas i can attest that Cameron got a great deal on those wheels. I paid about $250 more plus shipping for the alcoas and center caps through shelby. That is just on the wheels when you factor in the tires you are looking at about $400-$500 savings.
That was a phenomenal deal!!
it may appear that what I paid for the rims/tires was a great deal, but let me make clear that the grief of having to deal with getting this situation resolved and the fighting that my wife and I did because of the entire ordeal was not worth any amount of money saved...

In my opinion, if you don't like the service you are getting from CC or Walmart or Mustang Forums or BP gas station,,,,,,,go somewhere else. This thread, just as the first thread has gone from expressing a problem with a company (CC) to bashing members, to now bashing the moderators. Come on guys lets get back to the original problem, which was customer "no" service. No reason for us to go after each other.
This thread should tell us all to take our chances with a questionable product and company, or take our money elsewhere. Just my .02.

I think HRnB and MyGT500 have done an excellent job explaining this. Frankly, there was no way for us to make everyone happy here regarding the threads that were moved. Had we gone in and edited posts or deleted them because they violated forum rules, there would still would be members who felt we overstepped our authority.
The members of the MF Staff VOLUNTEER their time here - it's not a pay-job. So if a thread goes downhill, we have to decide if a thread can be saved by either locking it, deleting posts, or moving it to the private area of the forum. This week I chose to delete posts in a thread in another section which took 35 minutes to clean up. That's 35 minutes of my life I'll never get back, but the meat of the thread was valuable information and worth salvaging. Some threads would take WAY too much time to save. Regarding the CC threads that were moved, you'll just have to trust our judgment as to the best manner in handling posts that exceeded the rules.
As to starting an open area to discuss vendors, CC does have their own forum sub-section here. Between that area and the tech sections, I don't see the need to create a new section. But thanks for the suggestion.
It sounds like the matter is resolving itself. The nature of business is trying to please the customer. But as in life, sometimes you have to measure success by having all parties walk away equally unhappy.
I did not see the original thread after it got bad, so I cannot comment on the extent of the derailment and bashing. But I would like to make a recommendation, that I believe we can make everyone happy with.
I would like to request that the original posts regarding the people having the problems be posted in this thread, for the viewing of people who come across this, I believe it will be the easiest way to assure everyone that it is not a cover up of sorts, which I honestly thought initially, and also it will allow you to stay in line with the companies goals of helping people make an informed decision.
Again I am not saying post the whole threads, just the initial complaints, so Cam's and the people who had issues with the black chrome. If you decide this is not a good solution as well I will respect yours and all the mods decisions to do so.
Pascal, I didn't see you became a mod congrats.
And Art, I believe Pascal was joking around when he was talking about ban button, I found it funny actually, there is no reason to attack someone when there is obviously sarcasm in their statement. Pascal is a great person from what I have seen of him on this forum, and I believe if he does decide to drop the ban hammer it will be on cases where it is very appropriate. If his initial post seemed like a power trip to you imagine him saying in a joking tone you may understand what he meant.
To Shella, Good luck with your wheels I would be surprised if they said no to it, you stated initially you took very good care of your wheels avoiding anything that may have caused problems, so there won't be much room to spin things. They also have much more riding on your rims than you think and hopefully they see that, you are a very credible and well regraded women on the this forum and for them to reject your claim would be further jeopardizing their name on this forum, please keep us updated on the issue.
Cruzin Concepts, I haven't done work with you so I cannot comment on any direct experience, but I believe for a company of your size you need a much better way of managing customer support tickets and orders. I can give you a few suggestions on how to optimize your systems, if you are interested just ask, it is part of what my firm specializes in so it will be a professional, and well informed one.
So I bought new wheels for the whip.. and they sent me a damaged one. sent it back and its been HELL trying to get it replaced!! Cruizin Concepts has been jerkin me around now for a month. everytime I call they say oh it'll be there so and so day. then the day after they say its gonna be there I call back and they say the same thing again. All I know is just as soon as I get my replacement I am DONE with them. I've had the WORST experience. none the less Here's Three of them lol. 20x8.5" Saleen Replicas.
I am very sorry to hear about YOUR CruizinConcepts experience!
After what I just went through with them, I know exactly how you're feeling and I would never use them again either. Hopefully with everything that recently happened they'll hurry up and get this fixed for you so you can enjoy your new rims/tires on the car.
Good Luck.
